nuki cha is a UK business selling decaffeinated matcha. For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller is Leonie Welsch, trading as nuki cha. You can reach us at hello@nukicha.com.
If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address, and we record whether you open the emails we send and which links you click. We use this to tell you when nuki cha launches, and to understand which of our emails are worth sending. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you join the waitlist.
If you contact us about stocking nuki cha in a café, we keep your email and whatever you tell us about your venue, so we can reply and supply you. Our lawful basis here is our legitimate interests — running and supplying a wholesale business.
Giving us your email is entirely voluntary. There's no obligation, and the only consequence of not giving it is that we can't tell you when we launch.
We don't ask for your name or address, we don't buy data about you from anyone, and we don't make any automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
We use MailerLite to store our mailing list, send our emails and record the opens and clicks described above. MailerLite processes your data on our behalf under contract and does not use it for its own purposes. We don't sell, rent or share your email with anyone else.
MailerLite hosts data in the European Union and states that its sub-processors are EU-based. Transfers from the UK to the EEA are permitted under the UK's adequacy regulations, so no additional safeguards are required.
We keep your email address until you ask us to delete it.
Unsubscribing and deleting are not the same thing. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you, but your address stays on a suppression list — that record is what stops you being added back and emailed again by mistake. If you want the data gone entirely, email us and we'll delete it.
You can ask us to:
Email hello@nukicha.com and we'll do it — no explanation needed.
You can withdraw your consent whenever you like, and every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link. Withdrawing doesn't make anything we did beforehand unlawful; it just stops us going further.
If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
We don't run advertising or analytics trackers on this site, and we don't use cookies for them.
Our email provider, MailerLite, stores a small amount of data in your browser so the signup form works — including an identifier (ml_guid) that lets it recognise your browser, plus a few technical values. This is stored locally on your device, isn't read by us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
If we add analytics or anything else that tracks you, we'll ask your permission first and update this page.
If we change this notice we'll update this page and the date above.
